I picked up the phone but there was total silence on the other end. I looked up the number online and stumbled across this website.

Weird number this! When I picked up, there was silence on the other end, so I looked it up online but got no results. Then I tried calling it back from my mobile to use up my plan minutes, but the call didn’t go through - seems the number isn’t valid. Just to be sure, I used 1471 on my landline and it said the number was definitely 01305 839212. I’d be careful with this one, definitely sounds dodgy.

Today, an older man I look after got a call from this number. A foreign woman was on the line, but he couldn’t understand her, so I took over. She asked for his date of birth, saying she needed it to send a refund cheque. She did mention his name and address, but when I asked her about the refund amount and why she needed more info if she had his details, she just hung up on me. From what I caught, she said something about a government department, interest, and his bank? I tried calling the number back from my phone, but it just went dead. Seems really dodgy to me, so watch out!

I'm absolutely fed up with these incessant calls-every time I answer, they just hang up! Surely there must be some kind of regulation against this nonsense? It’s incredibly frustrating!

I received a missed call from this number. When I tried to call back, I got a message saying "the number you've dialed is not recognised." It's quite strange since we don't even own a car!
