Got a voicemail on my mobile, but it didn’t actually ring - just a beep to tell me there was a message. The person gave their name but never said what company they were from. They asked for my solicitor’s name for a letter they’re supposedly writing for me. The number showed up as an accountant’s office in Weymouth, which is nowhere near me, like having something from Santa’s grotto turn up on your doorstep. Smells like one of those phone charging scams, just waiting for me to call back and get charged a fortune with a premium rate. Honestly, all the warning signs are flashing!
