I actually don’t mind getting these kinds of calls, especially when I’m not in a rush. Today, a woman rang up to chat about some new loft insulation initiative, saying it would boost SAFETY!!! She insisted it wasn’t a sales pitch and asked about my type of home - whether it was a flat, bungalow, or a house. I told her I lived in an underground bunker, which threw her off a bit. Before hanging up, she politely thanked me for the chat and wished me a nice day. Sure, it was probably a scam, but hey, I managed to waste some of their time without sharing any of my details.

Got a call from this number, some bloke with an Indian or maybe Pakistani accent claiming they were from a loss adjustment firm. I told them the only thing I’d lost was my patience answering their ring. Ended up blocking the number straight away.

They rang me up mentioning something about a ‘lost information survey’, but honestly, I couldn’t quite catch if they said ‘loss’, ‘lost’, or even ‘last’. On top of that, the person calling didn’t seem to speak English very well, so I had no clue what company they were from. In the end, I just ended the call.
