we got a really strange call today. the person on the other line was looking for someone with our surname, and said they had already chatted with someone at our number which is unlisted. problem is, no one here had that conversation. they kept saying they must have called us before, but thats not true. feels like a dodgy spam call to me.

We have our phone number listed as ex-directory, yet a woman rang us claiming to share our surname. She insisted she had reached out multiple times previously looking for someone named Pete, which is odd since that isn’t any name we recognise. We hadn’t received calls like that at all, and we certainly have no acquaintance by that name. Despite her persistence, we chose to end the conversation.
