These fraudsters are just looking to take advantage of people who don't know better. Instead of getting angry and cursing, it's way more helpful to report every scam call straight to the police’s fraud centre. There was a post here on 11/08 explaining how to do it, and honestly, it doesn’t take much time at all. I’ve bookmarked the site so I can quickly log any dodgy calls. The only way we'll see any real action is if everyone who gets these scam calls reports them.

This morning, another call from a different number popped up, which I ended up blocking too. These calls seem to stop for a bit but then start up again after a few months. This is the third one in just a few days. The first caller had such a heavy accent that I couldn't understand what he was saying at all. He kept asking if I had any “fobble dobs” or something like that - it was totally baffling.
