Somebody rang me claiming they were from TalkTalk, saying there was a problem with my router that needed urgent fixing for security reasons. But they didn't even know my name, account number, or where I lived. I played along at first, and then they asked me to install TeamViewer, which is a programme that lets other people control your PC remotely. I guess the plan was to use that access to steal passwords or other private info.

Got a call with loads of background noise like a call centre, trying to push PPI on me. I blocked the number straight away. They’ve kept calling, but the phone just blocks it now.
