Got a call from a telemarketer but every time I picked up, they just ended the call straight away. Really frustrating!

I hardly ever pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise. After looking it up on this site, it seemed pretty clear it was a scam or some telemarketer. So, I’ve just blocked it now. Seriously, why doesn’t the Government step in and stop these scammers already?
