At first it was an automated message giving a load of options to press, but before I could choose anything, some bloke came on and said thanks for choosing them. He then tried to convince me he was calling from BT and that my landline was about to get disconnected. I told him that was complete nonsense and asked to be taken off their list, then suddenly he just cut me off!

Initially, I was met with a pre-recorded message offering a selection of choices at the touch of a button, but before I could make a selection, a human chime in with a 'thank you for choosing...'. He pretended to be from BT and mentioned that my landline service was on the verge of disconnection. I informed him that this was nonsense and requested to be taken off their list. To my surprise, he simply hung up!
