5 yearsThis morning, just before 9am, I got a call from 01303 211921 saying I'd supposedly splashed out £399 on Amazon and that money would come straight out of my account. They told me to press 1 if I hadn’t made the purchase to talk to someone. Obviously, I haven’t bought anything on Amazon. Later around noon, I rang the same number back to ask them to remove my number from their calling list. The bloke on the phone said there’s no such list. When I told him someone’s misusing his line pretending to be Amazon, he insisted he doesn’t even use the landline, only his mobile.
