This number has rung me a couple of times before. One time, I decided to play dumb and pretended I couldn’t figure out how to use my PC. I managed to keep him talking for nearly 40 minutes. When he told me to press OK so he could fix the issue (which I obviously didn’t do), I suddenly yelled that my screen had gone completely black and my computer had crashed. He just hung up straightaway. I’m hoping wasting his time stopped him from tricking someone else.

I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming there was an issue with my internet - which, to be fair, had been a bit dodgy recently. But I smelled a scam straight away. Let her gabble for a bit before just hanging up. Really, why aren't these calls stopped? I'm registered on the TPS. Plus, this number has loads of complaints against it - why isn't it blocked and why aren't people like this being taken to task?

Received a call from an Indian gentleman claiming to be from BT, saying there were issues with my internet connection. I promptly informed him that I hadn’t reported any problems, as my internet was running perfectly. I also noted that BT typically doesn’t initiate calls; it’s usually the other way around!

I told him I didn’t even use BT, but he went on saying BT supplies the line to all providers, like Virgin and so on. Then he asked how many devices were connected to my router. I’ve had a rather tenacious caller with an Indian accent ring me previously. I made it abundantly clear that this line belongs to an elderly individual who isn’t particularly fond of these unsolicited calls. When I asked him to refrain from calling, he rather brazenly replied that he’d be back on the line in just ten minutes! Today, he decided to ring again, and when I reiterated the request to stop calling, he simply had the audacity to question me with a “why?” At that moment, I had no choice but to terminate the call. By the way, it seems the call was traced back to Doncaster.
