Got a call from this number first thing at 7:30 in the morning. Told them where to stick it. Probably some sort of scam.

They’ve been ringing me every morning at about 8:30 for the past 5 days. I answered once and just hung up on them straight away. After this, I’m done with picking up the phone when they call!

My mum’s 85 and she keeps ringing me, really stressed out ‘cos she’s had like seven calls, even one super early in the morning! It’s gotta be a scam, these calls just cause so much unnecessary worry. I’m just about to help her set up call blocking on her new phone to sort this mess once and for all. Really annoying stuff.

Got a call at 8.40 this morning from a woman claiming to be from Microsoft, saying there was an issue with my PC. I told her it was far too early to be calling and called her out for lying. She then asked if I wanted her to block my computer, I said yes, and right after that she ended the call. I looked up the number, 01302846718, and found loads of similar complaints. It’s obvious they’re not hiding their number, so you’d think the phone companies would do something to put a stop to these annoying calls.

Got calls from this number loads of times, always way too early in the morning. It’s the kind of thing that makes you anxious straight away whenever your phone buzzes with their number. Really annoying how they ring so often first thing.

Got a call from 01302 846718 early in the morning, around 7:30am, and it actually woke me up. A woman was on the line claiming that my BT internet had been hacked and that my personal info on my PC had been shared with someone else. She wanted me to turn on my computer so she could ‘sort it out’ for me. I told her to stop, said she was probably the hacker herself and a crook. Then she just hung up.

A rather dubious call claiming to be from Microsoft disturbed my slumber at the ungodly hour of 7.00 am. You can probably imagine my response! It seems these muppets have made a habit of ringing us bright and early to inform us about some fictitious computer issues. In reality, the only nuisance we're dealing with is these clueless callers interrupting our mornings!

She rang me up a couple of times, kept asking for my husband and even mentioned my postcode. Then she went on about my computer being hacked and said my details were being used for some illegal stuff. Really pushed it hard - total scam.

Got a call from someone who sounded like they spoke English with an Indian accent, claimed to be calling on behalf of Microsoft. He said there was an issue with my PC and when he mentioned I'd been HACKED, he just laughed and hung up on me.

Got a call from this number and some bloke was asking if I was someone named X. When I pushed back, he told me it was a bad line. I kept saying hello over and over but got nothing back. Then he started going on about my computer being registered with Microsoft and apparently it hasn’t been serviced. I told him I don’t even own a computer, but he just went silent after I kept trying to get a response. Someone really needs to look into these people and what they’re up to.

This morning at about 9:22, I got a call from this number. The bloke had an American accent and already knew my name. Claimed he was from Microsoft, telling me my computer had loads of hacks and he could fix it. Asked if my PC was on. I told him I was too busy and just ended the call. Total scam if you ask me. Microsoft wouldn’t be ringing me up out of the blue like that. I might be older, but I’m not daft!

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming he worked for Microsoft, saying my PC was hacked just last night. I asked how he could possibly know it was my computer. He just kept saying he was from Microsoft and if I was sat at my computer now. I told him I wasn't about to share any personal info since it was a random cold call and I had no idea where he was calling from. He ended up hanging up. Does anyone monitor this number? I keep seeing more and more people commenting about it every single day.

Over the years I’ve gotten calls like this quite a few times. I usually just go along with whatever they want, act like I’m following their instructions, then I tell them weird stuff like I keep receiving loads of Indian cooking recipes on my phone. After that, I switch to a thick Indian accent and just jabber nonsense, finishing up by belting out ‘Land of Hope and Glory’. Always a good laugh!

I told them I’d never shared my number with Microsoft and asked them to name what Microsoft software I supposedly had. The bloke went silent after that, so I just ended the call again.

So I got a call from some bloke called "John" who said his computer firm was Western Computer Solution and that my PC was infected with a virus. He had a bit of an African accent and just kept talking rubbish but I let him carry on. When I told him it was shameful he was spending his time ringing people up like this and suggested he find a real job, he suddenly hung up on me! Classic scammer move. This was all on 7th February 2018.

Just like everyone else here, some bloke called me claiming to be from Microsoft but couldn’t even say my name right, which isn’t hard at all. I told him he was lying and ended the call. Strange that neither the police nor Microsoft seem bothered enough to do anything about it, seems like it wouldn’t be too tricky to find where the call came from.

Got a call from someone saying they were from "BT Internet" asking for a "Mr" [partial name of account holder]. They told me my personal info had been compromised and asked if I knew about it.

Just so you know, BT never rings you using the name "BT Internet" since that's just a service name, not how they identify themselves.

This wasn’t from Doncaster for sure. It’s a total scam. Microsoft doesn’t just ring people out of the blue like that; they tend to get in touch only with businesses who have support agreements. Best to just ignore the call unless you fancy wasting your own time.

Got a call from some guy with a pakistan accent, sounded pretty convincing. He gave me a long list of digits, said it was my computer’s serial number or something. Then he started asking me to punch in all these codes. I pretended I didn’t understand and he got really annoyed. Ended the call quick. Proper dodgy bloke, watch out for these types.

Had the exact same thing happen, this guy said he was ringing from Microsoft and claimed my PC was full of viruses. Told him to ring me back in 30 mins. Bit worried about how he even got hold of our unlisted landline. I’m definitely putting a block on that Doncaster number now.

On Wednesday morning, 7th February 2018 at about 9.36am, someone with a strange accent kept ringing our place up here in north Wales. We told the bloke to get lost and have since blocked the number 01302846718, which seemed really dodgy to us. I'm sure it’s a scam. Honestly, these scammers deserve a long spell behind bars, but it looks like our government couldn’t care less - it’s proper depressing.

This lady rings me up claiming she's from Microsoft about issues with my computer. I told her, "No way, you're just trying to scam me." She sounded surprised and said, "Why would you think that?" Today, this number kept ringing non-stop, like every 5 minutes from midday till about half past. My missus kept answering with just a "hello," but nobody ever said anything back. She hung up each time, but they’d ring right back after a few minutes. This went on over and over until they finally gave up sometime after 12:30.

So, on the 6th of Feb around 2.55pm, this guy rang saying my computer was hacked and he was from Microsoft, gave the name Alam-Cooper. I asked for his phone number to ring him back, he said 01183280363. I kept him talking by asking if it was snowing in Reading since he claimed to be from there. He said he wasn’t some weather man and even told me English folks were dumb. After a bit more pointless chatting, he just ended the call. Quite strange really.
