They called me a couple of times but didn’t leave a voicemail. Same old John the driveway guy again. I’ve just blocked the number.

Is John able to spot a cop car parked near his place? If so, maybe he could assist them by passing on the questions I have.

If you scroll back three posts from here, you’ll find a clear guide on how to block all these scam calls and messages. Honestly, if people just shrug and do nothing, don’t hold your breath waiting for the authorities to step in. It’s not gonna change unless loads of us keep reporting every single call. MPs won’t lift a finger unless their voters shout about it nonstop, and the police need to be swamped with complaints to even start caring. So, don’t just sit there - everyone needs to chip in.

So, it was John again, you know the bloke from the driveway centre pestering us. They've rung from four separate numbers now - a couple starting with Doncaster's area codes, plus one from 01707 and another from 01285. The 01302 call got an answer since we’re based in Doncaster and with my missus being poorly, I thought it might be one of her church mates who doesn’t have her mobile. Anyway, all those numbers are blocked now, though I’m not sure how much good that will do.

Got hit by another dodgy call again.

I mentioned this number to a couple of mates just to give them a heads up since I’d got a call from it too. Turns out, they’d both had calls from the same number. One of them answered and said it was about a new drive way, but the other didn’t know the number and just let it ring out. Seems like they’re contacting a bunch of people about it.

Got a call from this number on Tuesday arvo. The bloke said, “Hello, it’s John from the driveway centre” and then launched into the usual spiel. I’ve already flagged it here on this website. Funny thing is, after mentioning it to a couple of mates, they told me they’d had the same call too. All of us are from roughly the same neighbourhood near that area code.

Got a ring on our home phone from 01302712802.
A bloke named John said he was ringing from the Driveway Centre. When I told him we never got anything from them, he started talking about some huge discount if we ordered. He then asked about the age of our house and if we actually have a driveway. Didn’t really get what he was playing at, but it felt dodgy, like a scam. So I’ve blocked that number already and will sort out blocking any other numbers he might call from, now I’ve seen a few. In case I haven’t done it yet.

This number rang me on Tuesday afternoon. The guy said something like, "Hi, I'm John from the driveway centre," and then went on with the usual spiel. I've already flagged it on this site. Later, when I mentioned it to a couple of mates, they said they'd also received calls from the same number around that time. One of them didn't pick up because they didn't recognise the caller ID, while the other did and said someone had called them about installing a new driveway too. They didn’t tell me the number, but I’m guessing it was the same caller, probably from this exact number.

Received a call from a bloke named Alex claiming he's with 'Infinity,' ringing from 01302 712802, saying he's come to check out damp issues on our outside walls.

Thing is, we don’t have any damp spots and haven't had anyone report this to anyone. Then the very next day, the same Alex rings back, still with that Infinity firm, but this time from a different number, 01970 607650.

Seems a bit fishy, reckon it might be some sort of scam.

Got a call about some unpaid bill for wall insulation, but I told him he’d rung the wrong number and he quickly hung up. Guess my response wasn’t in his little script. Typical scammy nonsense. Still, he spoke proper English and sounded quite polite.

I've been getting calls from 01302712802 quite a bit recently. Every time I answer, I just stay quiet and listen, but the other end never says anything either. After around 10 seconds, they just hang up. No clue what they're after, though I can probably guess. If my answerphone picks up, they just disconnect straight away.

Just got a call from some bloke called John about my home appliances insurance or something. Complete nonsense, really. He just ended the call on me. I swear I've been told this exact spiel at least twice a week now. Such a waste of time.

So I got a call and the bloke on the other end had such a thick accent I couldn't make out a word he was saying. I just told him, 'Sorry, I can't understand you,' and then outta nowhere he goes off calling me rude before slamming the phone down. Seriously, what was that about?

Got a call today about some driveway and garden work, sounded like another telemarketer to me. Not really interested but they were pretty persistent trying to sell landscaping services. Wish they’d stop calling!
