Total scam. I never agreed to anything, but when you ring the number, an automated voice tries to trick you by saying you can 'opt out'. Give me a break.

Just had a right bizarre chat with a chap who was keen to find out whether I had a driveway. Naturally, I confirmed that I did. Then he delved into how old it was! I was in a bit of a rush, so had to cut the call short on that daft discussion. Nearly missed my shift!

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, so I just let it go on ringing. With so many dodgy calls about recently, I figured it was probably just another scam.

There's a couple of comments below explaining what you need to do if you're fed up with these overseas scammers ripping off vulnerable folks and pestering the rest of us. It does require some effort, but I've been reporting scam calls and texts straight to the police's online system (I've bookmarked the link for easy access). Realistically, it’ll take thousands of people doing the same before they actually act, but every day loads of people here report scam calls. You won't see instant results, but if everyone just ignores it, these frauds will keep on going without any consequence.

Got a call from some guy saying they could provide skilled local traders for us. It was a bad time so I thought it might be dodgy and just ended the call.

He quickly said sorry for bothering me and hung up. The number he called from, 01302, seems to be a Doncaster code, which is over 200 miles from me. Feels a bit dodgy like a scam to me!
