Got a call from a woman claiming to be from HMRC saying I owed £800 and would face arrest if I didn’t pay up. I know HMRC don’t ring people out of the blue or make threats like that. Whenever anyone says they’re from HMRC or similar, I just hang up and ring the official number myself to check. Best to stay safe and not get tricked.
