Just got a call from someone claiming to be the ‘Android update team’ out of the blue. Didn't ask for it, really annoying.

I got a call from a woman speaking with a South African accent, saying I could score a free upgrade for my Apple (which I don’t own) and Android gadgets. I ended up distracting her by asking about her accent, and every time she pressed me about my accounts, I just responded with, "Sorry, I really don’t know." After a while, she lost interest and said she’d ring me back before hanging up. Totally knew it was a scam, so I just wasted her time as much as I could.

I’ve been approached by some dodgy characters pretending to represent a company called "compare the network" or something along those lines. They were probing for details about my broadband bill. Absolutely outrageous!

Had a girl ring up saying she was with "comparethemarket," saying she could upgrade my O2 contract. Thing is, I haven’t been with O2 for ages, so I just hung up. She called me again the very next day, but I didn’t answer and it just went dead. I ended up blocking the number anyway.
