I received a phone call from someone purporting to be from a government-approved debt management firm, insisting that they had a scheme in place to cut my outstanding debts by fifty percent. The only thing is, I've never had any debt to begin with! I promptly told the chap where to shove it and promptly blocked his number. Unbelievable!

I keep getting calls and texts from Lowell for someone named Helen Moustafa. It’s weird because I’ve had this phone number for ages, so I don’t know how they got it mixed up with hers.

So, a debt collection firm, which they claimed was government authorised, rang me. The guy on the phone said his name was Neil and mentioned their office was in Manchester. He told me he'd found my number on some debt help website. When I questioned why the call came from a Doncaster area code instead, he had no answer. I told him I'd be reporting the matter to the right officials, then he just ended the call.

I think they’re gonna nick me! Finally found a decent diet with no bills and then these bloody fraudsters call. Whatever you do, don’t hit 1 when they tell you - I reckon it links to a rip-off premium rate line.

Someone rang saying they were from Credit Solutions, but I knew straight away it was dodgy since I don't owe anything at all.
