Some guy rang up saying it was about home insurance to stop old folks from getting tricked into selling their houses when they need care. I told him straight away, "You've got the wrong place, this is a DIY store." The bloke on the phone just ended the call without a word like "Sorry" or "Wrong number." Just cut me off like that.

About 12:45 today, I got a ring from this number, some bloke called Chris claiming to be from a care firm. He went on and on about some new government regulations, saying you’d have to sell your home if you went into care or something like that. I told him I wasn’t dealing with it and he hung up. This is the second time Chris has phoned me, but he's used different phone numbers each time.

On the 9th of May 2023, I got two calls from someone named Chris about care home fees. The first time, I told him to quit with the scripted nonsense and to take me off their call list. Then, just a couple of hours later, he rang again. I reminded him that he’d already called once that day, and instead of saying anything, he just hung up on me. Proper appalling behaviour!

Around half past three today, a polite woman called me, seeming eager for me to register for a Piper alarm. I told her I'd had a rough time with something similar last week and wondered if maybe my doctor had suggested it. She mentioned the device itself was free for anyone over 50, but the Piper alarm would cost about £1.20 each day - like the price of a coffee. When I confirmed I was over 50, she got quite insistent, saying I had to sign up right then. I told her I needed to speak with my daughter first and then ended the call.

Got a call off a really chatty woman saying my GP had recommended me for a medical alarm after some accident. I told her she must have dialled the wrong number and asked who she was trying to reach.
