Some bloke called 'John' rang up and said my boiler insurance, which I don’t even have, was about to run out and that renewing it would be cheaper. He handed me a number to ring back. I decided to humour him and mentioned I’d written down his name - John the Con. At first, he just brushed it off, then passed me over to a woman. She was really polite, thanked me for talking to her mate, and kept up the nonsense about my boiler cover. I told her the company she mentioned was fake, and then she just hung up on me.
