I had a similar experience - the phone rang a couple of times and then went dead. Quite odd, especially considering they had to get through BT Call Guardian first, which prompts callers to identify themselves before it rings on our side. My suspicion is that it could be someone trying to track my whereabouts, perhaps from DWP or the police, as I can't shake the feeling that I’m being watched. Just to clarify, I haven't been up to any trouble.

Got a call from 01302391488, some woman claiming to be from a wine company. As soon as I told her I don’t drink, she just said thanks and hung up straight away. Proper weird.

Got a call from some wine firm thanking me for completing a survey. Turns out, they want to send someone round to my place with some wine, hoping I get some mates over so they can try and flog it. I told them I’m not interested and that my number’s on the TPS. Honestly, I reckon the so-called survey was just a ploy; I’m pretty cautious about what I reply to and, let’s be honest, I don’t even drink the stuff, so no way I’d waste time on that survey in the first place.

Looks like this number is linked to some sort of financial scam. Definitely wouldn’t trust calls coming from it.

Received a call from someone inquiring about my late son-in-law. I've had this number for quite some time now, but I suspect I got it after his passing. I attempted to find out who was on the line and their purpose, but they abruptly ended the call on me. Now when I try to call back, it just rings busy. I'm quite baffled-who could they possibly be?
