I received a call from someone claiming it was regarding a diesel emissions compensation matter, but I found it quite baffling since I’ve never submitted any such claim. To top it off, I don’t even have a diesel vehicle! Quite the puzzling situation!

Got a call but couldn’t pick up.

When I picked up, there was silence on the other end, then when I dialled the number again, a recorded message came up saying “the number you have called is no longer active.”

They rang me saying it was regarding a diesel emissions claim for my car. They already had my name, number plate, car make and my phone number too. They said they got my details from the DVLA but I’m sure the DVLA wouldn’t have my phone number. When I said this to them, they just ended the call. Seemed fishy to me.
