I picked up the phone yesterday thinking it was someone local since the number was from Doncaster. We’ve been listed on the TPS for ages and keep our number ex-directory. The caller refused to say where they got my info from, and argued with me, even insisting their data was “public”. I told them I’d report it to TPS and then ended the chat. Guess what? They rang me twice again today - looks like payback for calling them out. I’ve talked to this so-called energy review team a few times now, and they always call from different Doncaster numbers to try and trick people. Their so-called data must be private, since they clearly aren’t checking against ex-directory lists like they should be.

He kept banging on about data protection or something. I checked the number on other sites and looks like this lot often call about people who’ve passed away. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

Loads of calls from similar numbers like 01302-357-xxx, looks like they’re all linked to the same company. The number’s registered to Tickhill, which is a little place close to Doncaster, but they might not actually be calling from there. They keep ringing to offer solar panels, but honestly, they seem totally clueless about the product.

Mr Nobody - 17/09/2015 For the past week, this number has been calling daily. While I was out, my partner decided to answer. A guy on the line asked if he was speaking to Mr xxxxx xxxxxx. Of course, my partner said no since she's a woman, and the bloke just ended the call. Interestingly, he did know my name right though. When I tried calling back later, the phone would ring a few times before suddenly disconnecting.

Received a rather unpleasant call from a gentleman who refused to explain the purpose of his call, despite me identifying myself as the daughter of the person he was inquiring about. When I attempted to return the call, I got a vague and barely comprehensible message stating, "This is BM Winniables, all our agents are occupied." A quick search online revealed no information about them whatsoever. He cited the Data Protection Act as a reason for his lack of transparency. If he happens to call again, I think I’ll turn the tables and ask him how he managed to get hold of my number.

Got a call where they asked for my folks by name but refused to say what it was about when I said I was their daughter. They kept going on about data protection and said they’d ring back when my parents were home - which ain’t gonna happen, haha. So I rang the number back and all I got was some garbled voicemail that sounded like “BM winnerria” or something, couldn’t make it out properly. Tried searching online but found absolutely nothing. The caller was pretty rude too. Fingers crossed my husband picks up if they try again!

I got two calls from this number today, one at 12:58 and another early morning at around 6:31. The guy was asking for a family member who passed away over 25 years ago. He claimed to be from a government office but wouldn’t say exactly which one when I pushed him. Quite suspicious if you ask me.
