Just a heads up, some phone companies only let you block a certain number of calls, after that it stops working - those scammers know it too! It's way better to report any dodgy calls to the police. These **** are out to steal from you. Search for ‘action fraud’ on Google, go to the police.uk site, hit the report button and follow the steps on the ‘report a phishing attempt’ page. Then make sure to give others a heads up about the scam here.

I received an unwelcome cold call from someone purporting to be from a consumer group linked to Nationwide. As soon as I started asking them for clarification regarding the nature of their call, they abruptly hung up. The caller was a male voice.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Nationwide about a car crash I supposedly had. I played along just for fun since I enjoy messing with these callers. He asked if there was anything he could do for me, so I told him I wished he could bring back my Grandma who sadly passed in the accident along with the car. He said there was nothing he could do and then just hung up on me. Proper cheeky, that! :)
