I got a call saying £79.99 was taken from my account by Amazon, but I don't even have an Amazon account. This scam was on the BBC recently. They ask for your bank details to 'refund' the money, then claim you mistakenly typed £7999 instead of £79.99. After that, they tell you to send the extra money back, saying you missed the decimal point and end up losing thousands from your bank. Best thing is to just let them waste their time and say it's a known scam from the TV.
