Got a call not long ago, said it was Carphone Warehouse with some amazing offer on the latest iPhone. Felt a bit iffy about it though.

Every time I pick up, they just drop the call straight away. This is my work phone too.

I got a recorded call from a number saying it was UK Talks, came from 01212 840668 which I've never seen before for them. Other numbers like 01302 216179 and 01302 216181 plus 02031 292331 and 292333 had a weird US-sounding automated message saying something like "The number you have dialled is not in service, please check the number and try again." These seem to be newer lines linked to the same outfit. Some of their older numbers now play a message about contract terms possibly being broken, and that calls might have been rerouted outside the UK. None of these numbers appear anywhere on their official website. Checking UK Companies House for the parent and service companies behind UK Talks was quite revealing. The phone numbers keep changing a lot, which honestly makes it all feel quite dodgy and scam-like.

Today, I got a couple of calls from this number and it showed up as no ID. I didn’t answer because I didn’t know who it was!

I started getting calls a couple days ago from a woman who said her name was Amy. Her English was pretty bad and she kept telling me I owed money and had to pay right away or they'd sue me. I got really frustrated and just hung up because I know it’s a scam - I’ve never owed anyone money ever. It’s disgusting how these scammers try to scam people out of money. They should be locked up for this! Total scam!
