Got three calls earlier today from some lot saying they know I’m clearing unsecured debts. I asked where the hell they got that from and they said the government had given it to them. When I told them that was a serious violation of data protection laws and that the government wouldn’t share such info, the bloke just went “yeah, you seem to know more than me”. I told him I’m in finance, so naturally, I’d know. Then he started threatening to send “legal team” round to my place before abruptly hanging up. Total con artists, no doubt about it.

This number rang me up three separate times, with some bloke saying he worked for a debt help firm. I told him straight up I ain't got any debts, but he kept insisting I needed his assistance. When I said no again, he got rude and started calling me names. I've gotten calls like this before, and I reckon they try to wind you up so you end up chatting longer and fall for their tricks. Now, as soon as I catch that accent and hear a company name I've never come across, I just hang up immediately.

I had a really horrible experience with this guy. After I asked him three times if I’d asked for his call, instead of explaining properly, he just went on and on about why he was ringing. Then out of nowhere he shouted, “Are you deaf or what?” I asked him to explain himself properly and said I wanted to talk to his manager, but he just bragged about how proud he was of his job. To finish, he rudely told me to “get lost”. Totally unpleasant and I don’t think he was really from the area the number showed in Scotland.
