The person on the other end had a distinctly Indian accent, sounding very much like they were operating out of a call centre. They even mentioned my first name, which was rather unsettling. But as soon as I began to probe a bit, their tone shifted, and they turned rather curt and disrespectful.

When I picked up the second call, the person on the other end immediately asked for someone by their first name without telling me who they were. The caller spoke with an Indian accent, and I could hear loads of chatter in the background like a call centre. It felt like a scam straight away. I told them they probably had the wrong number, said no to their question, then quickly hung up. I've gone ahead and blocked the number since then.
