I got a voicemail saying I was being investigated for a crime and they mentioned hmrc. The message pushed me hard to ring them back on a number kinda like the one that called me (I didn’t bother). I tried calling that number later but just got a ringing sound then I hung up. From what I’ve read on scam forums, other people have had calls from nearly the same numbers too.

So this number just rang me, they said they were from HMRC, but it was one of those recorded messages. It kept saying if I didn’t press a button I’d get arrested or something. I don’t mess around with these calls, so I hung up straight away. When I looked up the number afterwards, I ended up finding this website.
