Got a call from someone claiming to be from Windows tech support. They said my PC was full of viruses and asked me to enter some code. Sussed it was a scam so ended the call. They called me back asking why I’d cut them off! Told them they were scammers, but they insisted they weren’t and threatened to cut my internet and shut my computer down remotely in 15 minutes! Hung up on them again. They rang once more, proper angry I didn’t buy their story! Blocked the number after that. My computer’s totally fine and still online!

On 11/05/16, I got a call showing as international. There was an American lady on the line saying there was an issue with my computer. I told her straight up it was a scam and hung up. Then I called 1471 to check who it was, and it showed the number 01299 900007.

I just let it ring till the answerphone picked up and guess what? They just cut off and no message left at all. Typical.

They said they were a London-based company working with the TPS because they’d been told to check if someone was hacking our phone and internet. We told them we were on the TPS, but they kept going with their story.
