The caller, with an Indian accent, insisted you stay at your computer to demonstrate the problem. When the person said they were at work, the caller said they’d ring back but didn’t. Trying to call the number again led to a strange automated message giving a company name unrelated to BT and claiming the number wasn’t in use, plus an offer to buy the number. Overall it seems unreliable and possibly a scam.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT about an issue with my internet. She insisted I had to be by my computer so she could “demonstrate the problem.” When I told her I was at work, she said she’d ring back later. I decided to call the number myself and it turned out to be some place called Tameko Inland Services, with a recorded message saying the number wasn’t active, but if I wanted to use it, they gave an email address. Felt pretty dodgy to me.
