Since the number wasn’t saved in my phone, I just ignored the call and went ahead to block it.

Got a call from this dodgy number claiming to be the national crime agency. An automated voice said there’s illegal stuff going on with my national insurance number and told me to press 1 to talk to someone about it. It even threatened to cancel my NI number and arrest me if I didn’t comply. Don’t fall for it, these scammers just want to scare you. Just hang up straight away and block the number - no need to panic or answer.
