I received a dodgy call claiming I was in deep trouble and they threatened to revoke my National Insurance number if I didn’t ring their agent back immediately. What a complete sham!

This number rang me up saying they were going to cancel my national insurance number because of supposed illegal stuff I'd done. They told me to press 1 to speak to someone who could stop me from getting arrested right away. A couple days ago, I got another call from a different number, but it was the same spiel. I didn’t press anything and no one’s come after me, so I reckon it’s just a scam.

They kept ringing for ages but I never answered, and they didn’t bother leaving any messages either.
5 years
I told them more than once to take me off their call list and to stop ringing me, but they just keep on calling. Then they start using a different number and the whole thing happens all over again.

Received a notification that someone has been misusing my national insurance number.
