Got a call where some robot voice claimed I’d been targeted by criminals and my National Insurance was in danger unless I did something. Press 1 to go on, it said. Then, a real person came on the line asking for all my personal info. I asked her for her name and badge number, she shot me some digits. When I asked her to say it again to check, she got really rude and told me she wasn’t wasting time before hanging up. Proper dodgy!

I got a call pretending to be from the National Crime Agency saying they were gonna suspend my National Insurance number over some big fraud issue. I’m no expert or anything, but I thought it wasn’t even possible for them to suspend your NI number like that. Seems like a total scam to me.
