4 yearsI received a rather alarming call regarding an issue with my National Insurance Number, and the caller insisted that I’d face arrest if I didn’t press 1 to speak to someone. They even contacted me on my work phone. Oddly enough, the automated message didn’t include my name. It’s truly disconcerting how they exploit people's fears; goodness knows what pressing that number could end up costing! If there were genuinely an issue, they ought to address me personally and outline the specifics. I’d like to understand what exactly my employer needs to do to fix this. As a PAYE worker, my NI contributions are taken care of by my employer, not me. So, if they really want to arrest me, let them come forth and explain the basis of their so-called authority!PAYE5 yearsReceived a call from this number, regarding something to do with my National Insurance number.
