Haven't caught the fake name from this latest scammer yet, but after a quiet spell over summer, the calls are coming thick and fast again. They’re obviously gunning for my state pension. The bloke wanted just 40 seconds of my time, I shot down that nonsense and hit my trusty red button. Can’t be bothered messing about with them - once I asked a caller if his mum was proud of him, earning a living by conning folks, and he said yes! I don’t even swear or give them a chance to disconnect now. Had three calls from different numbers in the last day.

They asked for my full name and address, then wanted to know my age, saying it had something to do with my pension. I just ended the call there. Seems like another dodgy caller, so I blocked the number. Bit pointless though, as they probably just move on and get new numbers anyway.
