Got a call from an automated voice claiming to be from the Mastercard/Visa fraud team, saying £600 had been transferred from my account abroad just 15 minutes ago and to press 1 to talk to them. Funny timing because I was checking my bank online at the exact same moment and saw nothing weird at all. Instantly hung up and blocked the number!

Got a call from someone with a strong Indian accent, his English wasn’t great but he claimed to be from VISA. He wanted me to share my card details and recent purchases to verify my account. Kept sticking to a set script and didn’t answer properly when I threw some tricky questions their way. As soon as I said I knew it was a scam, he just hung up on me.
