Got a call from a guy with a strong Pakistani accent trying to get my name and telling me I could get 25% off my phone plan (which is nowhere near any British provider I use). I didn’t let him get far, I just told him to email me the details and then quickly hung up.

Got a call claiming to be from Virgin or O2 saying my sim card was going to be blocked since it was an old Virgin one. He asked for my email but I didn’t give it to him. I told him to send me a letter instead and I’d sort it out. After that, he just mumbled goodbye and hung up!

Got a call a while ago from someone in Aylesbury saying they were from Virgin. They told me my SIM would be blocked soon because of the O2 merger and wanted my email address. Honestly, don’t trust this - Virgin would never ask for your email like that.
