I don’t actually have BT, I’m with Virgin Media for my landline, but this number called me with a robotic message claiming to be BT tech support. They said my “internet line” would be cut off today unless I pressed a button to fix it. Clearly, I’m not a BT customer, so this has to be a scam. It sounds really dodgy and could easily fool someone who does have BT. I reckon they’d ask for money to sort out a problem that isn’t even real. Since the number was visible and not blocked, I’ll be reporting it to Crimestoppers as well.
