Some bloke said he was from Microsoft, but it didn’t sit right with me, so I just ended the call. Pretty sure it was one of those scam attempts.

I got a call from someone saying they were with Microsoft in Reading, claiming my computer had been picking up dodgy software over the past couple of days. I told them I don’t own a Microsoft machine, but then the person said they meant my Apple Mac instead. They even rattled off my name, address, and postcode before I just ended the call.
