Without a doubt, this was a classic case of a scam. The person on the line claimed to be from Amazon, supposedly concerning an order for an iPhone linked to my account. Absolute rubbish! I certainly didn’t place any such order. I promptly logged into my Amazon account, and everything appeared perfectly normal.
