My phone's got a feature to block unknown callers, and I saw that a number starting with 01295 had tried to ring me. I looked it up and it's from Banbury, UK. Tried calling back but the number didn't come up. Judging by the other comments, seems like it's probably a spam call.

IF THIS OFFICE WAS A TRUSTWORTHY, LEGIT BUSINESS, THEY'D LEAVE A VOICEMAIL SAYING WHO THEY ARE AND WHAT THEY WANT. INSTEAD, ALL MY CALLS COME THROUGH MY MOBILE, SO I CAN'T JUST BLOCK THEM LIKE I DO WITH MY LANDLINE. NOW I JUST IGNORE THEM. This woman claimed she was from some place called Birdstall or something like that, though I’m not sure. She then said, "we are not selling you anything," which honestly made me suspicious. To be truthful, I found it quite hard to catch what she was saying. I told her I’m partially deaf, so it was difficult for me to follow, and then she just hung up! I really am partially deaf in one ear and often find phone conversations tricky to understand - maybe this site will come in handy more often after this! lol

They phoned me, claiming they were doing a survey. When I questioned how they got my number, they said someone at the address had entered a competition and they were following up on it. I told them that couldn’t be right as I live alone, then asked again where they found my number, but they didn't give me a proper answer. I told them to remove my number from their list, ended the call, and will now block their number.
