Someone rang me but I had a hard time figuring out what they were saying. Definitely not a native English speaker, maybe from somewhere in the Indian subcontinent.

Got a call from 01295587845 claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse with a “fantastic” deal on mobiles and contracts. Total rubbish! When I questioned where they’d found my number, they just went silent and ended the call. Avoid them!

Got a call from 01295-587845 just before midnight on 19/05/23. The person said they were with O2 and had an update for my phone, but I told them I wasn’t interested. Afterwards, I phoned O2 myself and asked about it, but they said that number wasn’t one of theirs at all! By the way, 01295 code is for Banbury if that helps anyone.

They kept speaking so fast I couldn’t make out a word, even after I asked them to slow down. Then out of nowhere, they just dropped the call. Pretty sure it was a scam.
