This morning, at half past eight, my landline rang unexpectedly. On the other end was an Asian lady claiming to be with BT, inquiring about the devices I use for my broadband connection. I informed her that I don't have any association with BT, and questioned her purpose for calling. She then mentioned she would escalate the matter to her supervisor and asked me to stay on the line. At that point, I chose to end the conversation and hung up. Shortly after, they tried to ring me again, but I decided not to pick up.
