The person on the other end said he was John, supposedly representing BT regarding my broadband issues. When I responded with a casual, "Oh, alright then," he abruptly ended the call. (Perhaps he picked up on the scepticism in my voice.) Just to note, this call was made to a number that's been registered with the Telephone Preference Service.
