Got a call that supposedly showed up from Ayr, Scotland on my phone. Luckily, it didn’t really go through properly before it dropped. Seeing all these similar stories, I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number, thinking it’s probably some kind of scam or fraud.

They keep ringing me non stop, so I went ahead and blocked the number after seeing what others said on here.

Got a call from someone claiming I’d taken out TV insurance with them and that I needed to pay £350 for cover over the coming three years. They even mentioned my bank details. Didn’t trust it one bit, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

some bloke rang and asked if i wanted to sell my car, i said nah and he just started yelling at me before hanging up.

my amazon account got hacked and the phone number on it was swapped out. it took a while but finally managed to sort things out by speaking with amazon’s fraud team. i can confirm the call i got was legit.

Some bloke rang me up saying he was from Haringey council, claiming they’d cleared the footpath or something like that. I have no clue what he was on about. Never even handed my landline to the council, so how on earth did he get hold of my number? Felt really sketchy to me.

They pretended to be from HMRC asking for my bank details to sort out a payment. When I told them I actually work at HMRC, they just hung up straight away.

Got a call supposedly from HMRC saying I was entitld to a tax refund. They wanted me to click on a link to get it. The annoying thing is, I don’t even pay any tax! Sounds like a scam to me, so watch out everyone.
