Got a call from some fella claiming to be from Santander, telling me I’m owed £299. He said he wants to transfer it directly to my bank. I thought, sound nice of them, so when he asked for my account info, I just rattle off a load of random digits then hung up straightaway.

This bloke claimed to be Jacob from BT Online and asked if I was still a BT customer. I told him straight away, "For security reasons, this call is being recorded by the police." You'll never guess, he just ended the call right then!

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from healthcare in Liverpool, asking about my husband's joints (he's on chemo). I immediately told them they weren't genuine and ended the call, then blocked the number. Seriously, Crawley’s in Sussex, not Liverpool - total scam!
