I had a rather peculiar experience with a couple of phone calls today. A number rang me this morning, and then I got another call later in the day from 01778 483445. When I tried to return the call, I was met with the same robotic voice instructing me to hold on for an agent. I found myself listening to the same tune for what felt like an eternity, and just when I thought something would happen, another bot chimed in with a “thank you and goodbye” before abruptly cutting off the line. It’s all quite vexing, really. Does anyone know what these calls are about? It’s becoming increasingly irritating.
