He insisted that I needed to obtain an emergency alarm tag, claiming it was now mandatory as per the new regulations from our emergency service numbers, 999 and 111. He ominously warned me that failing to acquire one could land me in hot water with the police!
Curious about his location, I asked where he was calling from, and he replied cryptically that he was in the same place as I was, but wouldn't provide any further details.
