I received a rather concerning voicemail claiming to be from Ofcom, stating that my internet would be cut off within a day! The automated message instructed me to press 1 to connect with a BT representative. However, when I did so, there was an eerie silence on the line-no one answered. Curiosity got the better of me, so I dialled 1471 to uncover the number that had contacted me, only to discover that it was totally unrecognised when I attempted to call it back. Seems like a classic con to me!
