I received a call on my mobile from a woman whose company I couldn't quite catch. She mentioned something about an accident that I supposedly had, which apparently wasn't my fault. I was quite baffled and asked, "Excuse me, what are you on about?" to which she replied, "Was that not you?" I firmly told her, "Absolutely not," and she assured me that she'd take my number off their list.

Then, about half an hour later, I got a text message that looked like it was from HSBCUK. It read: "Your account has been restricted due to a security issue. Visit the following link to regain access: https//hsbc.co.uk-authentication.auth-userid83282.com/?h=2."

I’m not certain if the two are connected, but when I tried to block that number by adding it to my spam list, it came back as an 'invalid number.' I definitely don’t have an account with HSBC, so it’s all rather alarming!

What a risky situation!
