01292873101 - The caller had an African accent and said they were from BT. I’m pretty tech-savvy so I instantly knew it was a scam when they asked to remotely access my PC, claiming hackers were messing with my internet. My advice is: don’t do what they say. Just say you’re using a work phone line and then end the call. They usually won’t bother ringing back. If you ever feel dodgy about a business call, tell them you’ll call the company yourself, then hang up. Real companies are fine with that.

Got called by someone claiming to be from Africa, sounded totally bogus to me. Definitely a fake number, watch out.

Got two calls from this number. Each time I kept telling them I don’t have a laptop, then they just cut off. Sounds dodgy to me, reckon they might be trying to trick you into letting them access your computer. Better not do what they say!

Got a call from an Indian guy who was dead certain that loads of people, like six or more, were leeching off my BT broadband from who knows where. He started trying to tell me how to use my computer to cut them off. I played along for a while then just ended the call. He rang back straightaway, and that’s when I told him he’d reached a big company, not a regular bloke. He hung up, but the muppet had the nerve to try ringing me again. If you spot this number, block it - these conmen are just out to rip off folks who don’t know any better.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from Openreach, saying there's an issue with my BT broadband and that someones outside using my internet. This guy was pushing hard to get all my router details so he could "sort it out" by accessing my system. Honestly, just hung up and blocked him straight away. If you pick up or give them any info, they’ll just keep pestering you nonstop.

We've had calls from this number a few times now. Sometimes it's dead silent, other times there's a man or woman on the line, but they're always shouting in some language I don't understand. Most of us at home have disabilities, so it really makes things quite difficult and stressful.
